The Foodshed is a developing produce aggregation and processing hub in Madison, WI. Our mission is to strengthen our local food system by helping small and mid-scale growers access reliable wholesale markets.

Current offerings

As we build toward our full set of services, our only current offering is storage – including dry, refrigerated, and/or frozen storage depending on your needs.

Where we're heading

Over the coming year, we’re building out our capacity to aggregate produce, handle distribution to institutional buyers, and offer minimal vegetable processing (washing, chopping, packing) tailored for schools and other food-service operations. We are also preparing to offer wholesale readiness training and technical assistance for farmers.

Our warehouse offers secure, temperature-controlled storage for food products, including dry, cold, and frozen options. Our hands on staff can also provide delivery driving and palletizing for your products.
